These freshly made images will help you celebrate the joy of reading all year long.
Which World Book Day do you celebrate: the one held on March 4th or the one held on April 23rd?
To me, World Book Day, Book Lover’s Day or Read In The Bathtub Day should be celebrated every day. And the best thing to do is read a book. You can also share the love for books among your friends.
If you believe you have seen all the bookish ideas and memes in the world, take a look at the list below.
Recently, I have designed dozens of new visuals, and I hope you will find them interesting enough to pass to your friends on Twitter or add to your Pinterest board.
You will see in the following list a few bookish sayings that I have adjusted to meet avid readers’ needs, words from a bookworm’s classic dictionary, and a bunch of minimalist designs for book lovers.
Bookish ideas and images to share
Popular bookish sayings and memes – reimagined
Who doesn’t know “go away, I’m reading” or “my weekend is all booked”? These famous sayings were visualized hundreds of times. But would the avid reader be satisfied with just one more chapter? I doubt that.
Take a look at some ideas from my Books, Coffee & Co. series, available via RedBubble on numerous t-shirts, personal accessories, and home decor items.
1

Classic words for book lovers
There is no need to coin new words to describe the exciting life of a book lover. The classic dictionary is full of them.
I used the Unabridged Merriam-Webster Dictionary to discover dozens of beautiful words that relate to books, libraries, language, and knowledge. The full list available here: 50 classic words modern book lovers could use more often.

Read & be bright
Read & be bright – reading books makes you smarter and brighter, and I have found a simple way to illustrate it using interface elements of book reading apps. Again, you can check out the design on RedBubble, be it on a t-shirt, travel mug, or a laptop sleeve.
BKLVR, BKWRM, BKNRD & BKRDR
I haven’t seen any bookworm wearing a t-shirt saying “bookworm.”
Instead of going obvious, I went the other way around, and designed minimalist, bold-looking graphics, where the words are stripped from vowels.
BKWRM and BKLVR are shown below, and the rest is to be seen in my RedBubble shop.
1
BKWRM – bookworm.
2
BKLVR – booklover.
