We don’t expect Kindle deal prices to be lower than on Prime Day 2020. When it comes to Kindle Oasis, we think that the price would be actually higher.

However, Amazon may offer extra benefits bundled with Kindle e-readers. One obvious pick is a free Kindle Unlimited short-term subscription (3 months for Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite, and 6 months for Oasis).

We hope Amazon will go one more step further with free subscriptions and offer Kindle models with a free Audible Plus subscription plan – instead of Kindle Unlimited or as an option.

Audible Plus is an affordable audiobook subscription which lets you access, stream and download original audio productions, popular podcasts, documentaries, and full-length audiobooks.

The 10th-generation Kindle was introduced in April 2019, so it’s not a new model. No upgrade to this model is planned by Amazon this year, so if you want to buy the most affordable Kindle e-reader, it should be this one.

The biggest improvement, compared to Kindle 9, is a front-lighted display. Four LED lamps embedded in the edge of the screen spread an even light across the surface letting you read in the dark without a bedside lamp disturbing the sleep of your significant other.

This feature alone made the price of the 2019 Kindle go up by $10, to $89.99, compared to the previous-generation model.

Despite rumors about Kindle Paperwhite 5 featuring warm light, we don’t expect the new model to be released this year.

So, if you are looking for a waterproof Kindle model with adjustable (but not warm) front light, available at a relatively reasonable price – and if you need this device before Christmas – make sure to check out Paperwhite 4 the first thing on Black Friday 2020.

The Prime Day 2020 price for Paperwhite 4 was cut by as much as $50, to $79.99. Don’t expect the Black Friday deal to be better than this – at least when it comes to the price.

We expect Amazon to offer some extra benefits for anyone getting Kindle e-readers during the pre-Christmas shopping season. Besides the free Kindle Unlimited plan, which is always in play, we would not be surprised to see a free Audible Plus membership coming with your Kindle Paperwhite.

The most advanced Kindle e-reader to date, the 3rd-generation Oasis, was launched in summer 2019. Compared to the previous model, it offered only one – but essential – upgrade: an adjustable warm light.

The Oasis is still Amazon’s only e-reader to sport this feature. You can adjust the color temperature of the front light to be warmer. It’s helpful in the evening, as blue light (which is natural for daytime) can cause sleep problems.

Asymmetric design of Kindle Oasis 3 is what makes it a truly unique device. The gravity point was moved to the side, by placing an internal battery and most other components in the grip area. Thanks to that, your hand won’t hurt even if you keep the device in the same position for long hours.

Kindle Oasis – Black Friday 2020 price predictions

In the entire history of shopping events, the Oasis was offered for a reduced price only once. It happened in 2017, and it applied only to the most expensive version with cellular connectivity. The deal was symbolic – 14% off the list price.

And then came Prime Day 2020. The price of the latest-generation Kindle Oasis was cut by as much as $75, so you could get this 7-inch device for only $175.

Would the same Kindle Oasis 3 price be offered during Black Friday 2020 event on Amazon? It’s possible, but we rather expect to see the deal price set at $199.99.

On Prime Day the money not earned on devices is balanced with the money earned on new Prime subscriptions. This factor is out on Black Friday. Plus, giving the Oasis the full deal mode would highly decrease the value of this top-end model.

Opposite to the basic Kindle or Kindle Paperwhite 4, we expect the price of Kindle Oasis 3 to be a bit higher than on Prime Day. Plus, there would be more attractive Kindle Unlimited and Audible Plus free plans.
