June is a good time to start thinking about which books to take on holiday.
[ef-archive number=2 tag=”lists” ]
Just like for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we are launching a list of all deals ebook lovers would find interesting during summer.
You’ll find here the deals from three major ebook ecosystems: Kindle, Kobo, and Nook. Besides deals on ebooks, we will also include most attractive promotions for the devices and accessories.
Before the list, a short reminder that you can check out ebook deals every day:
Kindle Daily Deal – each day a few titles are offered at prices reduced to $0.99 – $2.99. The average saving is between 40% and 80%. The Kindle Daily Deal home page is also a great starting point to discover all other Kindle deals that are currently offered.
Nook Daily Find – one or two titles are heavily discounted – one is the main deal, and the other book is a deal from a selected category, such a romance, mystery, or young adult. Usually, the price is cut by no less than 50%.
Kobo Daily Deal – you can expect the prices from $0.99 to $2.99, reduced by more than 50%. Usually, one book is being offered. Sometimes you can also grab an Extra Daily Deal.

Kindle Unlimited digital subscription, which includes Kindle ebooks, but also magazines and audiobooks, can be purchased at a considerable discount if you decide to go with one of the prepaid plans:
- 6 months – $44.95
$59.94– save 25%, - 12 months – $80.32
$119.88– save 33%, - 24 months – $143.85
$239.76– save 40%.
Please, bear in mind that you’ll pay the full amount for the entire period you choose immediately – there is no free trial in prepaid plan promotions.
If you are a current Kindle Unlimited monthly subscriber (and an Amazon Prime member, obviously), you can redeem this offer and automatic renewals will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the prepaid subscription you’ve picked.
Prime Day 2017: save 40% on Audible subscription
Again, this is a deal available only to the current subscribers of Amazon Prime program. The deal ends at midnight of Prime Day 2017, which is June 11.
Until then, Amazon Prime members can save 40% on 6 months of Audible subscription. It means that during this period you’ll pay $8.95 per month for the Gold plan, instead of the regular fee of $14.95.
When you join Audible via this Prime Day deal, you’ll get the same benefits as regular Gold members: one audio credit per month, unlimited listening to Audible Channels, offline listening with premium quality and no ads, exclusive member-only savings.
After 6 months, if you don’t cancel the subscription, Audible will start charging the regular price of $14.95.
Audible offers over 180,000 titles in several categories, including mystery, fantasy, nonfiction, or history books. You can also have access to premium podcasts and original comedy.
20 Kindle bestsellers for $2.99 or less
This deal is valid only on July 9, 2017, and only Prime members can take advantage of it.
If you are already a Prime subscriber, or sign up to Prime today, you will be eligible to grab best-selling Kindle ebooks for either $1.99 or $2.99 each.
On the list, you’ll find the best-selling novel by Emily Bleeker, When I’m Gone. Prime members can get it today for $1.99, while regular Amazon customers will have to pay $5.99.
The list price of the Kindle edition of Amy Poehler’s Yes Please is $16.99, but in today’s Prime-exclusive deal the book costs only $2.99.
The #1 New York Times bestselling memoir of U.S. Navy Seal Chris Kyle, American Sniper is $1.99. The same price is offered today for Tuesday, the second book in the Timeless series by E. L. Todd, or William Craig’s Enemy at the Gates.
Save $20 on select Kindle e-readers
This deal is aimed at everyone who considers buying the Kindle to gift it for Father’s Day. The price cut of $20 refers to all models included in the promotion: the basic Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, and Kindle Voyage.
Please note that, unlike Kindle promotions for Mother’s Day, the price of the top-shelf Oasis model is not reduced.
- save $20 on Kindle 8 – it’s the usual saving you can get on the entry-level Kindle (please keep in mind that it’s the model without the front-lighted screen). Before Father’s Day, the price is set to $59.99, and you save one-fourth of the list price,
- save $20 on Kindle Paperwhite – the most popular Kindle model is available in the coming days for $99.99. Its price is from
$119.99and the saving is 17%, - save $20 on Kindle Voyage – the $20 price cut on the $200 device means you’ll pay$179.99, and save 10% of the list price. It’s not the most attrative Kindle Voyage deal we’ve seen.
The promotion is limited in time, you’ll be able to enjoy the reduced prices until Father’s Day 2017.
Are you going to buy the Kindle to enjoy the summer reading to the fullest? Are you subscribing to Amazon Prime? If the answer to both questions is “yes,” consider waiting until Amazon Prime Day 2017. This promotional event is held every year at the beginning of July.
During Prime Day 2016, subscribers of this multi-benefit program from Amazon were able to save $30 not $20 on the basic Kindle (which was the new model at that time), and up to $75 on other Kindle e-readers.
Save $20 on Kindle bundles
In May 2017, Amazon introduced the new kind of bundle that would make a great travel companion for everyone who loves reading books.
Kindle Travel Bundles include one of the three e-readers (Paperwhite, Voyage, and Oasis), a power adapter, a case made of genuine leather, and a travel bag.
The last item on the list, the fashionable and functional canvas bag from Caseable is worth $69.99, but when you buy the bundle, you get it for free. Therefore, the default saving on each Kindle Travel Bundle is $69.99.
I was wondering how much time would it take Amazon to start offering even lower prices on the new bundle. And there it is!
You can save extra $20 on the Kindle Paperwhite Travel Bundle. The current price is set at $179.96, compared to the list price of $269.96, and you’ll keep in your pocket as much as $90.
You can also save $20 on the Kindle for Kids Bundle. The bundle includes the basic Kindle model (the one without the front-lighted display), the protective case in one of five colors, and a 2-year worry-free guarantee. You can get it for $79.99 in the coming days.
Get 6 months of Kindle Unlimited for free with Kindle Paperwhite
This is a limited-time offer with no due date, so it may end quite soon.
If you are going to buy Kindle Paperwhite, you can bundle it with Kindle Unlimited, and get 6 months of the ebook subscription for free.
When you buy the e-reader and the subscription separately, the total cost after 6 months is $179.93. The bundle will let you pay only for the Paperwhite – $119.99. The saving is $60, but in fact, it’s $50, as there is a one-month free trial for Kindle Unlimited anyway.
The deal is valid for the version of Kindle Paperwhite sold in the US. The bundle includes the black version of the Paperwhite, with Wi-Fi and special offers – there is no way to customize the model.
Save up to 80% in Summer Monthly Kindle Deals
The list of Monthly Kindle Deals is always a great destination for everyone who hunts for good deals on Kindle ebooks.
During summer months, the list (that is being updated on the first day of every month) is usually more attractive. It doesn’t refer to prices (they are always between $0.99 and $4.99), but to the selection of titles.
In June, there are over 1,000 Kindle books included in the promotion. As usual, the titles published by Amazon imprints are leading the way when it comes to popularity.
Back-to-school Amazon Fire deals
So far, only the Fire models addressed specifically to kids are offered at reduced prices:
- Save $20 on Fire 7 Kids Edition – this special edition includes the 2017 Fire 7, a heavy-duty case perfect for kids (available in three colors: Blue, Pink, and Yellow), a 2-year worry-free guarantee, and 1 year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited. Your price is $79.99, down 20% from
$99.99, - Save $30 on Fire HD 8 Kids Edition – again, the Fire tablet plus kid-prof case plus 2-year guarantee plus 1 year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited. The price has been slashed 23%, by $30, so that you can buy the device for $99.99 instead of
$129.99. You can pick up one of the three colors of the case: Yello, Blue, and Pink.
Are these Amazon Fire deals attractive? Not as much as during Prime Day 2017, when the subscribers of Amazon’s multi-benefit program enjoyed price cuts by $10 more attractive than today.
If you are considering getting the bundle, you can get further savings:
- Save $35 on Fire 7 Kids Edition Essentials Bundle – this bundle is a complete solution for a worry-free usage. Besides the tablet and the case, you will get Nupro Kids Zipper Sleeve (in either Blue or Pink) worth $19.99, and the $12.99 screen protector. The list price of the bundle is
$132.97, but in August you pay $97.97. The total saving is $35 – $20 on the tablet and extra $15 on the bundle, - Save $45 on Fire HD 8 Kids Essentials Bundle – just like in the smaller Fire, besides the tablet the bundle includes Nupro Sleeve and screen protector. If you decide to buy it in August, you will save as much as $45 – $30 on the Fire for Kids Edition, and extra $15 on the bundle. The end back-to-school price is $117.97 (
$162.97).
Back-to-school Kindle deals
There are fewer deals on Kindle e-readers, but as soon as anything new appears in Amazon’s Back-to-School Store, will update this list.
- Save $25 on Kindle for Kids Bundle – the bundle includes the latest-generation basic Kindle model (the one without the front-lighted display), 2-year worry-free guarantee, and a durable cover in one of five colors: Black, Blue, Green, Pink, or Purple. You can get it for $99.99 instead of paying the full price of
$124.98, - Save $20 on Kindle Paperwhite Essentials Bundle – Kindle Paperwhite is bundled with Amazon’s original leather cover and power charger, and you can take advantage of the price cut that makes it available for $159.97 instead of
$179.97. It’s not the most attractive deals on this bundle – you can expect the price cut by even $50 on Prime Day or Black Friday / Cyber Monday.
Besides the bundles, you can get even $35 in a trade-in Kindle offer.
How to save $35 on replacing the old Kindle with the new one? Simply go to Kindle trade-in page, select your current Kindle model and describe its condition, ship it to Amazon for free, and get a gift card and $20 bonus towards the purchase of the new model.

Deals on Kobo ebooks for Father’s Day
Kobo offers a special promotion addressed to anyone who wants to give dad the ebook for Father’s Day.
The list of Father’s Day Finds for $1.99 includes some 20 titles – not as many as in the Barnes & Noble, but they are equally attractive.
If your dad is interested in music, you’ll find here two books that are worth recommending. Steve Turner’s Beatles ’66: The Revolutionary Year is “a riveting look at the transformative year in the lives and careers of the legendary group.”
There is also Dylan Goes Electric! Critic Elijah Wald takes a look at the day Dylan “went electric” at the Newport Folk Festival.
Nook summer deals 2017

Father’s Day Sale in Nook Books
Barnes & Noble offers almost 200 Nook books at reduced prices. They are specially selected for Father’s Day 2017.
